Dive into the Artificial Intelligence of Urban Planning with UrbanistAI
Tην 1η μέρα του 2nd CIVINET Forum, ο Damiano Cerrone, πολεοδόμος, ερευνητής και εμπνευστής του πιο καινοτόμου και ισχυρού εργαλείου Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης για συμμετοχικό σχεδιασμό στον κόσμο, θα μας παρουσιάσει μέσα από ένα πλήρως διαδραστικό εργαστήριο το UrbanistAI.
Το UrbanistAI είναι μια πλατφόρμα τεχνητής νοημοσύνης που έχει σχεδιαστεί ως εργαλείο συμμετοχικού σχεδιασμού, με στόχο να συμπληρώσει παραδοσιακά εργαλεία, όπως χάρτες, post-it και pinboard, και να προσφέρει αμέτρητες δυνατότητες στους απλούς πολίτες να οπτικοποιήσουν τις ιδέες τους μέσα σε λίγα λεπτά με λίγες μόνο λέξεις!
Κατά την διάρκεια του εργαστηρίου, η ομάδα συμμετεχόντων θα βγει στους δρόμους έξω από την Τεχνόπολη, θα τραβήξει φωτογραφίες, και στη συνέχεια θα δημιουργήσει μέσω του UrbanistAI ψηφιακές μακέτες των δρόμων που φωτογράφισε χρησιμοποιώντας μόνο μερικές λέξεις-κλειδιά. Λέξεις που αντιπροσωπεύουν τις ιδέες τους, τις επιθυμίες τους, τις ανάγκες τους και το όραμά τους για την πόλη ή την γειτονιά τους.
Για την συμμετοχή στο εργαστήριο δεν απαιτείται καμία προηγούμενη γνώση του εργαλείου ή γνώσεις μηχανικού. Αφορά κάθε απλό πολίτη.
Η UrbanistAI έχει τεράστια εμπειρία σε εργαστήρια co-creation με πολίτες, υπαλλήλους των ΟΤΑ και πολιτικούς, όπως για παράδειγμα με την πόλη του Ελσίνκι, με την Edge Government Exhibition στο Ντουμπάι, κ.α.

UrbanistAI is a generative AI platform designed for participatory planning and co-design, aiming to replace traditional tools like maps, post-its, and pinboards with a universal language of images. The web app transforms citizens and stakeholders from mere commentators into active contributors in the urban planning process. Beyond developing a single generative model, UrbanistAI envisions creating a comprehensive urban planning platform that integrates multiple AI technologies, providing a powerful solution for participatory planning and co-design.
The topic of the workshop can extend from the use and impact of UrbanistAI in participatory planning in various projects for municipalities and private companies. Working with showcase examples a hands-on workshop can raise awareness and support an alternative way to reshape local agendas, contributing to neighborhoods and cities’ transformation to more sustainable mobility solutions and networks.
During the workshop, the group of participants will go out on the streets outside Technopolis Venue, take photos, and then create digital models of the streets they photographed using only a few keywords through UrbanistAI. Words that represent their ideas, their desires, their needs, and their vision for their city or neighborhood.
No prior knowledge of the tool or engineering knowledge is required to participate in the workshop. It is for any ordinary citizen.
UrbanistAI has experience in workshops involving co-design sessions with communities and local leaders with the City of Helsinki, the Edge Government Exhibition in Dubai, and others.
