Stavroula Geronimaki was born in Athens and joined GREEK FILM CENTRE (GFC) in 2003 where she held various positions of increasing scope and responsibility. Currently she serves as an acting director of the Hellenic Film Commission (HFC), a directorate of the Greek Film Centre that she joined in 2018. She represents GFC at Green Film, a European network of film institutes and film commissions. It was an initiative that she has undertaken in order to promote green filming in Greece. She is member of EUFCN and AFCI and she was the national representative of GFC at European Film Promotion. Originally an audiovisual and media policy researcher, Stavroula has worked at the Hellenic Audiovisual Institute, the European Children’s Television Centre, the Greek Film Archive. Her professional credentials include senior lecturer in new media and marketing at the University of West Attica. Stavroula holds a Master's Degree and a Bachlelor on Mass Media & Communication and a Diploma in Cultural Managment.
