Dr. Ioanna Pagoni is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Tourism Economics and Management of the University of the Aegean, specialising in Sustainable Transport and Tourism. She holds a PhD in Transportation Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), a Master of Science in “Business Mathematics” (jointly organized by the Athens University of Economics and Business and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from NTUA.
Dr. Pagoni's career spans both academia and industry. As a Researcher, she has been involved in several European and nationally funded projects (FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, etc.) and has published more than 80 scientific publications in journals and international conferences. As a Consultant, she has worked for various organisations worldwide. Her areas of expertise encompass air transportation, sustainable mobility, travel demand analysis, emerging transport technologies, and travel and tourism.
