Andreas is the lead coordinator of the CIVITAS Initiative, cluster leader of the CIVITAS Urban Public Space Design Cluster, and impact evaluation lead for the European Mobility Week campaign. Educated in urban planning, he previously worked as a transport planner for a mid-sized city in the United States for ten years, where he focussed on improving access to opportunity for people using sustainable travel modes. His expertise includes bikeway design and network implementation, bike share programme management, multimodal mobility policy, public transport and safe systems strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. He is a native English and German speaker and speaks intermediate Dutch.
