CIVINET Greece-Cyprus launches the Jazz Solidarity Network (JSN)
In light of the success of two international conferences organised by CIVINET Greece-Cyprus (1st CIVINET Forum 2021, Mediterranean Mobility Forum 2022) and a three-day event, dedicated to environmental activities on the island of Aegina, during which the cultural programme played a significant and enjoyable role, we decided to form a non-profit cultural organisation under the name Jazz Solidarity Network.
The new entity will be part of the wider ecosystem of our Network, following the best practices of international networks and organisations.
Our hands-on experience in culture, especially in quality music and dance, as well as the strong connection we have developed for more than 25 years with the artistic communities in Greece made this an easy decision.
Jazz Solidarity Network
The main mission of this non-profit organization is to enrich the activities and upcoming events of CIVINET Greece-Cyprus and its members with high quality cultural events that:
- raise awareness of local communities on the issues of environment, climate crisis, sustainable mobility/development
- highlight the country’s significant artistic potential in the field of jazz, contemporary traditional and improvisational music and other arts
JSN seeks to highlight artists and significant works across all performing and visual arts, poetry, and literature.
We are therefore embarking on a journey into new – but not unknown – cultural paths, either by organising stand-alone cultural events or multi-thematic activities in connection with issues related to the environment, sustainable development, mobility, and anything else that concerns local communities.
Co-organise your next event with us!
In this context, we invite you to consider including in your cultural agenda of 2023 events related to:
- jazz, latin, blues, soul, funk music
- swing dance, tap dance, contemporary dance, acrobatics, African dance, flamenco, body music
- contemporary Greek traditional music and authentic Greek rebetiko
- free improvisation and experimental electronic music
Our expertise extends beyond organising individual events; we are also capable of putting together complete festivals, as well as finding the appropriate funding for them, as a part of environmental awareness activities (e.g. on the occasion of World Environment Day, Cycling Day, European Mobility Week etc.).
